This change is driven by the rapid growth of weather-dependent electricity production, while traditional, adjustable power generation continues to decline. As a Themo customer, your device will continue to operate normally after the introduction of the quarter-hour balance. In Themo, the transition to quarter-hour balancing will begin with a transition period to ensure that our cloud-based optimization service operates smoothly. During this transition period, our spot electricity control will be based on calculated hourly averages. Once the transition is complete, all Themo smart thermostats will have option to utilize the 15-minute balancing period for control. You don’t need to take any action regarding your device. Once the update is available, we will notify users. The update will be applied to your system in the same way as our regular device updates. We will also provide detailed information about this update on our support site.
