You can choose to optimize the operation of your storage water heater, heat pump, or electric underfloor heating, for example, based on the lowest rates for exchange electricity. ## Utilize the Lowest Electricity Rates for Electric Heating The new Themo DIN is a smart digital controller for heating that is mounted onto a DIN rail at the switchboard. The device controls and optimizes heating based on your actual needs and the price of exchange electricity. This means that you can save money while your underfloor heating or the temperature of your storage water heater and heat pump are maintained at the required level.  ![Themo-DIN-Leijuva-syvä-723px](https://www.themo.io/hs-fs/hubfs/Themo-DIN-Leijuva-syv%C3%A4-723px.png?width=800&name=Themo-DIN-Leijuva-syv%C3%A4-723px.png) ![Themo-DIN-Leijuva-syvä-723px](https://www.themo.io/hubfs/Themo-DIN-Leijuva-syv%C3%A4-723px.png "Themo-DIN-Leijuva-syvä-723px") ## Utilize the Lowest Electricity Rates for Electric Heating The new Themo DIN is a smart digital controller for heating that is mounted onto a DIN rail at the switchboard. The device controls and optimizes heating based on your actual needs and the price of exchange electricity. This means that you can save money while your underfloor heating or the temperature of your storage water heater and heat pump are maintained at the required level.  Themo DIN is suitable for use in both detached houses and holiday homes. You can control the device easily with the Themo mobile app. ## Two Operating Modes Themo DIN makes smart electricity consumption decisions on your behalf operating in one of two modes. In the Price Switch mode, the device can be used to optimize the electricity consumption of your storage water heater or heat pump, for example, based on the lowest hourly rates for exchange electricity. In the Thermostat mode, the device minimizes the electricity consumption of your underfloor heating. You can set your Themo DIN to the Price Switch or Thermostat modes using the Themo app. ## Price Switch Mode Minimizes the Electricity Consumption of Your Storage Water Heater or Heat Pump, for Example   When set to the Price Switch mode, Themo DIN optimizes the consumption of electricity by a storage water heater or heat pump, or even from charging an electric car based on up-to-date exchange electricity price information. If you use the price switch to control a storage water heater, for example, the thermostat of the water heater controls the temperature. ## Thermostat Mode Optimizes the Electricity Consumption of Underfloor Heating   You can also use Themo DIN as a smart thermostat that optimizes the electricity consumption of your underfloor heating. In the Thermostat mode, Themo DIN controls the heating based on the temperatures you have specified and the fluctuation in the price of exchange electricity. This specifies how long your heating can stay off at the longest. The longer the time without heating, the more substantial the optimization benefits. - Specify the maximum price limit: you can set a maximum price for exchange electricity, and Themo DIN will deactivate heating when the price limit is exceeded. ![shutterstock\_1775522423](https://www.themo.io/hubfs/shutterstock_1775522423.jpg "shutterstock_1775522423") ## Optimizing the temperature in the Price Switch mode: - Specify the number of active heating hours per day Themo DIN will automatically choose the most affordable hourly rates for exchange electricity based on your specifications. - Set the maximum number of hours between heating periods. This allows the device to access real-time exchange electricity price information on Nord Pool's servers and utilize it in optimizing your underfloor heating. Machine intelligence and weather predictions Themo DIN takes the fluctuation in the outdoor temperature into account as it controls the underfloor heating. The device utilizes machine learning to account for the thermal storage capacity of the floor and calculates the most affordable way to achieve the temperature you have specified at different times. Remote control You can modify your desired temperatures and heating programs easily with your mobile device or computer. You can also use the Themo mobile app to examine your electricity consumption history and its impact on your electric bills. ![themo\_800x350\_DIN-1](https://www.themo.io/hs-fs/hubfs/themo_800x350_DIN-1.jpg?width=800&name=themo_800x350_DIN-1.jpg) ### Purchasing Themo DIN to your home Purchase a smart Themo DIN electric heating controller for your switchboard.
